And, I would add, Faith without Doubt has great chances of becoming dogmatic thinking. And dogmatic thinking often becomes extremism, regardless of one's faith.
In my experience, in business and in life, extremism is what misdirects and misinforms us, whether we deal with the so-called "positive thinking" or with the aggressive pursuit of one's faith. I am often reminded, when I bump into the Silicon Valley's "EgoSystem" (to quote here Brian Solis), that sooner or later, rising will end up into vertigo.
It is fascinating to observe the culture created by dizzy leaders. The more obsessed one is with rising, or staying "up there" at all costs, the more dizzy he or she feels. And I am not necessarily referring here to the business "stars" of the Valley. For each person has their own "high" toward which they are vertiginously ascending, to the point that their individuality becomes lighter and lighter. |
