Technology and Entrepreneurship have transformed globalization into a very complex process, which goes way beyond "conquering" new markets. Multicultural networks, real and virtual, have changed the way leaders communicate. As well as the way leaders relate to power, risk, individuality, team work, negotiations.
The 21st Century authentic Global Leader needs to be able to reach toward and connect to the inside of those whom he leads. For that he or she has to combine knowledge and several types if intelligence: cognitive (IQ), emotional (EQ) and cultural (CQ). As Forbes leadership columnist Mike Myatt writes, great leaders have to combine in their communication a cocktail of skills that includes: empathy, trust, clarity, mindfulness, humbleness, aesthetic distance, and genuine listening.
