TESLA BAN: CAPITALISM MEETS COMMUNISM?..

Does TESLA ban in NJ, AZ, TX, show that in fact fundamentalist, mindless capitalism goes full circle and meets the other economic and political anomaly: communism?

Let me start with this: I was born and I lived for 18 years in communist Eastern Europe, i.e.,
Romania. Eighteen years of my life all that I heard were the "precious indications of our brave Communist Party and his beloved leader, Comrade Ceausescu". I am sure you know the story: the government was deciding and "planning" everything, from the economy to making babies. That included what could be sold and what could not be. Meaning that anything made by those stinky capitalists (Jeans, Coca-Cola) was not only forbidden, but also reinforced by a complex secret police network.

Here I am now coming full circle, 24 years later, witnessing a strikingly similar behavior, but in a country famous for its laissez-faire capitalism: Governments in the States of Arizona, Texas, Virginia, Maryland and now New Jersey have banned Tesla Motors to sell its vehicles. Which by the way, are ZERO emissions, beautifully crafted and have up to 300 miles autonomy on one charge.

In other words, Governments of those States dictate what car the free citizens of those states should buy, or rather NOT buy. By forbidding their citizens to freely choose if they want or not to buy Tesla cars, these governments infringe upon two major rules that are particularly adored (at least theoretically) in the US market economy:
(1) Let the free market decide who lives and who dies; and
(2) Let the people freely choose what product deserves to stay on the market and which one should go.

It seems to me that  both Romanian Communist Party and the governments of these US States share the reason for infringing upon these basic free market rules: an ideology, intended to protect their political and economical status quo.

I do have the hope though that the innovation and intelligence of entrepreneurship will prevail. For example: in the states where it cannot sale, Tesla opened showrooms, where people can see the cars. After which they go home, get online and buy the car they desire.
